STEREOLITHOGRAPHY
DPSS lasers are now widely used in place of Argon and Helium Cadmium lasers for high performance stereolithography systems due to their superior efficiency, reduced operating costs and compact size. Because of the high speed scanning process used in stereolithography, the laser must be quasi-CW on the time scale of the scanning system.
The Model 3505-100 has been optimized at 100 kHz repetition rate and an average output power of 500 mW. When used to replace the Argon laser in the popular stereolithography systems, the Model 3505-100 provides users with unparalleled speed, superior resolution, and access to the new generation of stereolithography resins developed for the 355 nm wavelength.
